Manawa Community Nursing Center has partnered with MJ Care Rehabilitation to provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech / Language Pathology services to our residents and members of the community. MJ Care is one of the nation's leading providers of rehabilitation services. They provide services to more than 400 long term care facilities in 41 states, including 28 here in Wisconsin.
MJ Care therapists can assist both inpatient and outpatient members of the Manawa Community to achieve their full potential after illness or surgery. These services are available seven days per week as needed.

Physical Therapy
- Exercise programs to help increase muscle function, coordination, endurance and mobility
- Training in bed mobility, gait stability, posture and positioning
- Joint and soft tissue mobilization to increase range of motion
- Wound Care
- Adaptive equipment training
Occupational Therapy
- Educational and training in daily living skills such as dressing, bathing , eating and grooming
- Activities for memory, orientation, and cognitive integration
- Adaptive techniques or equipment to overcome physical disabilities
- Strengthening and coordination exercises.
Speech-Language Pathology
- Verbal and non-verbal communication, including the use of augmentative systems when necessary
- Oral muscle strength and functioning for speaking and swallowing
- Compensation for work-finding problems
- Learn listening strategies
- Overcome swallowing disorders
